Breaking the Cycle of Suffering

Suffering is a fundamental aspect of the human experience. Many of us spend our lives seeking happiness and fulfillment, yet often find ourselves facing pain, hardship, and disappointment instead. Our suffering is not a punishment or an inevitable fate. Rather, it is a result of our disconnection from our true Self and our entanglement in the Astral Illusion. By understanding the root causes of our suffering and taking conscious steps to free ourselves from the illusions that bind us, we can break the cycle of suffering and move towards a life filled with light, love, and peace.

The Source of Suffering lies in our identification with the external world and our attachment to material desires. The Astral Illusion, as described by Zadore, is a web of deception that keeps us focused on the physical and sensory aspects of life. It convinces us that our worth and happiness are defined by what we achieve, what we possess, and how others perceive us. This identification leads us to constantly seek fulfillment in external things—power, wealth, relationships, and status—but these pursuits are fleeting and ultimately leave us feeling empty and disconnected. The more we seek fulfillment outside ourselves, the more we experience disappointment, fear, and suffering.

At the core of this suffering is our false identification with the body and personality. We mistakenly believe that we are our physical bodies, and that our personality—shaped by our experiences, desires, and fears—is the entirety of who we are. This identification causes us to live in a state of separation from our true nature, which is Essence. Essence is the eternal, conscious part of us, the pure light that flows from higher dimensions. When we forget our true nature and identify solely with our physical existence, we become trapped in the cycle of suffering, bound by the illusions of fear, vanity, and desire. This is the illusion that keeps us from experiencing the love and light that are our birthright.

Breaking free from this cycle begins with awareness. The first step to overcoming suffering is to recognize the forces that keep us bound to the Illusion. We must become aware of the "negative I’s" that dominate our thoughts and actions—the false identities within us that drive us to seek validation, control, and pleasure in the material world. These negative I’s are the root of our suffering, as they keep us chasing after things that do not bring true fulfillment. By observing these negative I’s, we can begin to understand their influence over us and start the process of releasing their power.

One of the key principles in breaking the cycle of suffering is disidentification from desire. Zadore emphasizes that as long as we are driven by the desires of the personality—desires for power, wealth, and sensory gratification—we will remain trapped in suffering. Desire is a force of creation, but when it becomes entangled in the world of the senses, it leads to attachment and ultimately to pain. To free ourselves from suffering, we must learn to withdraw our will from these desires and direct it toward our inner being, toward Essence. This requires us to consciously observe our desires, recognize how they bind us to the material world, and begin the process of letting them go.

The path to freedom from suffering also involves cultivating a deep connection with our true Self. We are not separate from the Universe; we are beings of light, an expression of the creative consciousness of the cosmos. By remembering our true nature and aligning our will with that of Essence, we can transcend the limitations of the body and personality. This is not an intellectual exercise but a lived experience—a process of awakening to the light that resides within us and allowing it to flow through our being. As we align with Essence, we experience a profound shift in our perspective. We no longer see ourselves as victims of circumstance, but as conscious co-creators of our reality, capable of transforming our experience of life.

Another essential aspect of overcoming suffering is surrender. True freedom comes from surrendering our egoistic will—the will that seeks to control, possess, and dominate. Instead, we must trust in the higher will of Self, the will that is aligned with the greater consciousness of the Universe. This surrender is not a passive act but an active choice to let go of what no longer serves us and to embrace the path of light and love. By surrendering our egoistic desires, we free ourselves from the fears and insecurities that keep us bound to the Illusion. We begin to experience a sense of peace and contentment that is not dependent on external circumstances but arises from within.

Faith and trust are crucial in this process. As we let go of our attachments and surrender to the will of Essence, we must cultivate faith in the existence of something greater than ourselves. This faith allows us to move beyond fear, to trust that the challenges we face are part of a larger, purposeful unfolding. Suffering, when viewed from the perspective of Essence, becomes an opportunity for growth—a chance to learn, to let go of what no longer serves us, and to move closer to our true nature. By embracing this perspective, we transform our relationship with suffering, seeing it not as a punishment but as a catalyst for transformation.

Ultimately, the way out of the cycle of suffering is through remembrance—remembering who we truly are and aligning our lives with that truth. The Transmissions teach us that we are not the body, not the personality, but beings of light, deeply connected to the consciousness of the Universe. When we remember this truth, we begin to see the world in a new light. We recognize that our worth is not defined by what we achieve or possess, but by the light and love that we bring into the world. We become aware of the interconnectedness of all things, and our actions become an expression of the divine will.

In conclusion, suffering is a result of our disconnection from our true Self and our entanglement in the Astral Illusion. By recognizing the illusions that bind us, withdrawing our will from material desires, and cultivating a deep connection with Essence, we can break free from the cycle of suffering. This journey requires awareness, surrender, and faith, but the rewards are immense. We move from a state of fear and separation to one of love, light, and unity. We experience true freedom, a sense of peace and fulfillment that comes from living in alignment with our true nature. This is the path to awakening, transformation, and liberation from the suffering that has held us for so long.
